Not There

When people die sometimes the people that were closest to the deceased have some hostility towards those that weren't around. People who had been out of touch for a long time or people who were kind of in and out of their lives. I'm not sure what that's about, psychologically, but I think it's important to understand that we all grieve. People who met someone once may feel a sense of loss just as the closest friend does. It isn't fake. It isn't for show.
I pray that tomorrow everyone accepts the grieving of others. Everyone is open to each other even if we haven't seen each other for many years or never met at all. I do believe that is what our friend would want.
God please help carry us all through out the day tomorrow. Give me the strength I need to do what I feel I should do not because it's demanded of me but because it's what I want to do. For K.
I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
